Zoom out using Acrobat Reader to ~50% or so

Also, assuming
you're using Windows Paint: go to
Image->Attributes, set the image size to 1x1.
Then, when you paste the screen cap, you'll be asked if you
wish to make the bitmap enlarged (say yes). After selecting
and copying the area you want, go to
File->New. It should return to a 1x1 bitmap.
Paste the cropped area you've just copied, answering "yes"
once again to the bitmap enlargement question. If you're using
XP, you can save as .PNG or .GIF directly from Paint. If not,
save it to a .BMP and convert it to .PNG or .GIF (NOT
.JPG) with an external program.
